Kinoshita-Markey Wedding

June 28, 2008

Emi and Scott, who you might remember from our classic jaunt through downtown Washington, D.C., returned to Richmond for their wedding day. From a beautiful sunny day to a great party/slash reception (compliments of JB from Choice Entertainment), a great time was had by all. Enjoy the images!

Ceremony and Reception: The Dominion Club
Cake: Cakes by Graham
DJ: Choice Entertainment, J.B. Bostic

Jenny told me from the start “watch out…we’re half Cuban and we tend to get a little crazy”. I think it could have gone without saying :) Crazy was only part of the story, and having fun with her and Tim was easy. Our session was a blast. Check out that rooftop view from Tim’s apartment at the American Tobacco Company building!

Enjoy.

Munoz-Vasa Wedding

June 28, 2008

So, I must admit I was smitten from the first time I sat down with Freddy and M.J. They described a wedding that would combined a large Indian and large Ecuadorian family. Of course, my thoughts immediately flew (as only a photographer is wont to do) to the bright colors and amazing food. What I took away from this beautiful and lively affair was the immense love of family and friends. Oh, we kinda dig the pictures, too :)

Enjoy!

Ceremony and Reception Venue: Celebrations at the Reservoir, The Manor House
Florist: Wilkinson Florist
Videographer: Bill Gaff, Human Story
Music: Choice Entertainment, Bill Gilliam

If you haven’t had a chance to see or hear Dean play, then I highly recommend the experience. He’s a great guy and phenomenal artist. (shameless plug: he’s playing Capital Alehouse downtown tonight!) Dean and I have been working on a few things for his new album and this first session is a test of sorts. As his music takes new directions he wants the images to match. I’m looking forward to the challenge.
